Spiced Apple Muffins

1 ¼ c SR flour 75g butter
1 c rolled oats 1 egg
¾ c brown sugar ¾ c milk

Coconut Fudge Bar

Old English Gingerbread
p.33, “Sugar and Spice” with Jo Seagar, 2000 (adapted, 2 T ginger)
Sift together
500g (4c) SR flour

Mecca (Deli) Ginger Crunch
Base:
1 ½ c flour
1 c each: coconut, sugar
2 tsp BP
125g butter
1 ½ T golden syrup
Pre-heat oven to 180 deg. C

This! is my all-time favourite-to-make chocolate cake - it has been well-received at the last eight years of high-and-holy family occasions. It’s BIG. Have two glasses for separating eggs into, your “impeccably clean” stainless steel egg-beating bowl ready, plus another two big mixing bowls. Better to cook in two baking tins than in one big meat dish. Enjoy!

Pineapple Delight
- Mumma Houghton’s specialty
1 (440g) tin pineapple pieces ½ c pineapple juice
125 gr butter 1 c (125 gr) flour
2 c milk 4 eggs, separated
1-2 T sugar

Impossible Pie
2 T butter 4 eggs
1 c milk ½ c flour
1 t Baking Powder ½ tsp salt
1 c cheese 1/2-1 onion

Treacle Chocolate Cake & Dessert
2 T treacle
100g butter
150 g brown sugar
2 T cocoa
1 egg, beaten
150 g flour
150 ml milk at blood heat
1 t baking soda
